School garden is springing to life

Pupils at Park Road Community Primary School have been rolling up their sleeves and getting their hands dirty as they prepare for the school’s much-anticipated annual flower show.
Members of the Year 3 and Year 4 Gardening Club have been hard at work throughout the half term, transforming the school grounds. Their efforts have focused on revitalising key outdoor areas, ensuring the school is in full bloom for the upcoming event.
In the school’s sensory garden, pupils have been busy weeding, clearing space, and planting bulbs that will soon add colour and fragrance to the environment.
Meanwhile, the Gardening Club’s own flowerbed has been brought to life with a variety of vibrant summer plants and attention has also been given to the school’s polytunnel, which is thriving with a wide range of vegetables. With warmer weather setting in, the plants have required regular care and plenty of watering.
Well done to all of our young gardeners for their fantastic work!
